The Centennial Trail is a mostly single track trail spanning well over 100 miles while traversing the entire Black Hills from north to south. It begins in the northern hills at Bear Butte just outside of Sturgis and ends in the southern hills near Hot Springs. The majority of the mileage of the Centennial Trail is on lands under the jurisdiction of the Black Hills National Forest, but the trail also crosses lands controlled by other federal and state land management agencies.
